Exhibition "Sensitized" is a presentation of a selection of works created by female artists for whom the medium of photography is the most common art tool. Although they use a very diverse visual language, they talk about the world and their experience of it on many levels of communication. Their works are united by sensitivity to existential, identity and social issues - the "sensitivity" of the title.

The term associated with psychology can be applied to photographic technology. Photosensitivity is a description of the ability of chemicals to react to white light. The attitudes of the artists presented in the exhibition can thus be arranged along the gradation line of this sensitivity: from intimacy to the public sphere, from restriction to gaining freedom, from restraint to exuberance in creative photography, portraiture, reportage, performance and video.

Since 2009, the museum's photographic collection began to expand and open to the latest art, filled with previously few works by female artists. As a result, its character has changed and it has become more up-to-date in relation to reality. The Sensitized exhibition is a variety of interpretations of the themes of human relations over almost a century of the formation of women's image and identity, the role of imagination and experience, concerns about the changing social space from the perspective of women artists. The works presented create a collective story, history and herstory, open the viewer to a broader perspective on the art of the 20th and 21st centuries, and invite dialogue.
