Description

The book "More likely, we are not special" is the result of about 10 years of photographic artistic work and the author's interest in cosmology and astrophysics. The narrative leads the reader through the philosophical aspects of scientific discoveries, theories and hypotheses and their relevance to ourselves, trying to answer the question: in the context of our knowledge of the Universe, do we have the right to feel special, privileged? Or are we just one of the many forms that matter can take, and perhaps we feel special only because we define ourselves as such?

Krzysztof Slachciak (1983) - artist photographer, member of the Union of Polish Artists Photographers, scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, graduate of Adam Mickiewicz University and Poznań University of Economics. He teaches classes in photography  At the Faculty of Architecture at Poznan University of Technology and WSCKZiU in Września. He deals with advertising photography on a daily basis. To date, he has presented his works at more than 50 exhibitions and photographic events both at home and abroad, including galleries PAcamera, Forum Fotografii, Stara Galeria ZPAF, Galeria Pustej, Galeria Obok ZPAF, as well as at the "FotoArt Festival" in Bielsko Biala, the New Art Festival "Labyrinth" in Slubice and Frankfurt/Oder, the "Rybnik Photography Festival", the "Fotoperyferie" Festival in Kielce, and the "Days of Alternative Photography" in Warsaw.
