The idea of the "Image and Word" project by Tomasz Sikora and Artur Wolski - brilliant in its simplicity! - turned out to be excellent. Here, 57 photographs by Tomek Sikora were placed in the hands of artists, mainly writers, with a proposal to choose one of the photos and write a text inspired by it. The invitation to the project was accepted by, among others, Sylwia Chutnik, Jacek Cygan, Magdalena Grzebałkowska, Cezary Harasymowicz, Filip Łobodziński, Michał Ogórek, Mariusz Szczygieł, Grzegorz Turnau, Magdalena Zawadzka. Fiction stories, poetic stanzas or prose impressions were created based on the photos. Characteristically, each of the writers did it in their own way, and at the same time they managed to render something unusual in a particular photograph by Tomek Sikora. As a result, as Artur Wolski writes, "the author of the photographs and the authors of the texts create a moving story - about life, the world and themselves."
During the vernissage - a meeting with Tomek Sikora and Marek Popielnicki (responsible for the album's graphic design) - recordings of texts interpreted by Krystyna Czubówna, Grzegorz Pawlak and Radoslaw Podpłonikowski will be played.

Tomasz Sikora about his photographs: Photography records reality. However, does it do it objectively? After all, it is we authors who decide to select a fragment of it. By enclosing it in a frame of a rectangle or square we give it a personal character, as we deprive it of its wider context. It is also often the case that in our already cropped image we can find small elements that can change the original narrative. By cutting them out of their context, we not only get a new story, but by the fact of enlarging a small part of the photo, we change its artistic quality. A sharp document transforms into a different, impressionistic image. The new quality draws us into a different reality, allows us to play with color and sharpness, elements that cannot be moved in a documentary.
