The 20th anniversary edition of the Month of Photography will begin on May 26. It will be
unveiling seeking, engaging, exploring and critically commenting on
current political and social phenomena, we also want it to become an expression of the
Solidarity with Ukraine. Traditionally, the festival will promote debutantes,
provided a space for student exchange and experimentation and
prompted creative play with images in numerous workshops
and meetings.


The flagship production of this year's edition is the exhibition I Was Lookin' Back to See if.
You Were Lookin' Back at Me to See Me Lookin' Back at You being a development
created for many years international art and research project Why
Pictures? The curators, Magdalena Kownacka and Anna Olszewska, invited the following to the
cooperation of those involved in the arts and scientific activities, in order to jointly
to look at the interplay between humans, images and technology. Talking
plants, oculographs, heatmaps, miracle worker encephalograph, non-existent generator
faces, as well as classic photos of Nowa Huta and photographic notes by Władysław
Hasiora. All under the roof of the Museum of Nowa Huta in the former Światowid cinema.
