The Office of Art Exhibitions in Jelenia Gora cordially invites you to participate in the next edition of the photography exhibition , "Contacts". Photography can be submitted until the end of December 2022!

The opening of the exhibition ,,Contacts. On the Road/ Contacts. In Transit" is scheduled for April 2023

CONTACTS is to some extent a return to the sources, but at the same time is an example of the search for contemporary form in photography, for which the very idea of contact as a condensed essence of the image is strictly defined, decisive and creates the form of this medium. The project draws attention to the possibility of charting new paths for the future of contemporary photography. 

We invite artists for whom large-format contact-copied photography from the negative is an important means of artistic expression. The project has a supra-local and even international scope, we are implementing it in Jelenia Góra, as it has been associated with black and white photography for years, and the term Jelenia Góra School of Photography is already a certain brand in the world of photography. The theme of the 2022 edition of , "On the Road"/, "In Transit" is quite broad, it can be understood literally, as a certain stage of life in which we remain at any given moment. Our life is a journey. As we wander through time, we undergo all sorts of transformations. Meanings are given by coincidences, encounters, choices, places in space... The concept of the road applies to all of us, but it is an existential concept, related to the idea of individual, individual existence.     
Technique at this exhibition is important, the transition from the negative to the contact method print is necessary. Number of works - depending on the format, to be agreed. We ask for the most recent works. We collect materials for the catalog until the end of December 2022.We need scans of finished photographs in the amount of 2-5 (to be chosen by the organizer), a short note and if the idea about the presented set is important. The earlier the better - for the comfort of the organizers.
