The opening will take place on December 5, 2024 at 7:30 pm, and the exhibition will be on display until January 12, 2025. The organizer of the exhibition is the Warsaw District of the ZPAF.

On Thursday, December 5, at 7:30 pm, the Old Gallery of the ZPAF in Warsaw invites you to the opening of the collective exhibition of the Warsaw District of the ZPAF titled. "The View is Beautiful." The exhibition forms a multidimensional collection of interpretations of the watchword. The multiplicity of views shows how differently the artists took a seemingly simple phrase. Some of the works are more literal in relation to what we commonly consider beautiful, while others are enigmatic, metaphorical and sometimes even sarcastic. The final assessment of the compatibility of the exhibition title with the works on display will be up to the viewers.

On the occasion of the vernissage, we encourage you to meet the authors of the works and have an artistic discussion.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

"Seeing" and "view" are inextricably linked concepts - one leads to the other, creating a space where personal experience meets reflection on the world around us. In doing so, it is worth noting the subtle difference between "looking" and "seeing." Looking is the simple act of directing one's gaze, while seeing involves a deeper understanding and perception of what lies beneath the surface of things. A view is more than a landscape - it's a moment of pause, a perspective, and sometimes an emotion that is born in looking.

It is this closeness and diversity of world outlooks that we wish to present in the exhibition "The view is beautiful", presenting a cross-section of the work of members of the Warsaw District of the Union of Polish Artists Photographers.

The exhibition aims to show the diversity in the work of our female artists, the wealth of photographic techniques and different aesthetic sensibilities. At the same time, it allows us to look at the world from many perspectives - subtle, inspiring and making us reflect on the beauty and complexity of everyday life. The presented frames, starting from realism, become a metaphor, creating a space for artistic reflection.

The exhibition of members of the OW ZPAF in this formula is a kind of experiment - both substantive and formal. Its strength, however, is that it treats the collective of female photographers, photographers, photographers - artists - as a community and a community in which each creator has the right to talk about what moves him and what is important to him. From these diverse perspectives, an informed view of the world is born - a view that we feel is beautiful.
