Weekend with the Poznań Photo Award
The opening of the post-competition exhibition of the 1st edition of the Poznań Photo Award will take place at 6 p.m. on April 26 at the Old Brewery's Courtyard Gallery.
We invite you to the Poznań Photo Award Weekend and the opening of the post-competition exhibition of the 1st edition of the PNF under the theme "Tender Narratives - documentary and reportage photography in times of crises".
The opening of the post-competition exhibition of the 1st edition of the Poznan Photography Prize will take place at 6 pm on April 26 at the Old Brewery's Courtyard Gallery. We will get to know the winners in the Poznan and national categories, financial awards will be given, and photobooks with the awarded photo sets will be presented. The exhibition will feature six nominated photo sets: Ireneusz Kazmierczak, Marcin Kruk, Katarzyna Piechowicz, Pawel Piotrowski, Stepan Rudik and Bartosz Seifert .
The opening will be combined with author meetings. The chairman of the first edition of the PNF, Filip Springer, will talk with the authors of the distinguished and awarded works, as well as with a special guest - the first Polish photographer at the Magnum agency Rafal Milach.
The following author meetings will be held on Saturday, with the participation of: Karolina Jonderko, Filip Springer and Waldemar Sliwczynski, as well as a portfolio review conducted by Filip Ćwik, Karolina Jonderko and Grzegorz Dembinski. Registration for the portfolio review will be conducted from April 15, 2024r via the website www.pnf.poznan.pl
The exhibition at the Courtyard Gallery will run from April 26 to June 2, 2024.
The Poznan Photo Award is a new, nationwide, annual press and documentary photography competition. PNF aspires to become one of the most important photographic competitions in Poland, as well as a new Poznań-based collection documenting daily life, social and economic changes in Poland.
The organizer of PNF 2023 is Posnania City Publishing House, Honorary Patronage: President of the City of Poznan, Jacek Jaskowiak. Partners: the Foundation for the Development of the City of Poznan, the Raczynski Library, the Old Brewery, Radio Poznan, the Quarterly magazine Fotografia.
