We invite you to the opening of the exhibition summarizing the fourth edition of the project
"A year in the lenses of Polish women photographers ". This is a unique event, to which every year Polish female photographers - women scattered almost all over the world - send their most important frame. A frame in which the world stopped for them or closed everything that in the past year was, in their opinion, the most important.
The photographs on display form an extraordinary group exhibition that will visit Polish galleries throughout the year, presenting viewers with a personal, visual reflection on a bygone time as interpreted by Polish women photographers.
The year 2023 in the lenses of Polish female photographers is a set of 61 photographs by Polish women photographers and one photograph by Joyce Mollan, a photographer invited as a guest to this year's edition of the project as a result of a collaboration between Polish Women Photographers and Cameras for Girls, an organization that uses the medium of photography to work for the development and empowerment of women in Africa.
The exhibition will also be accompanied by the publication of a book with the same title, presenting all the photographs submitted to this year's project.
The initiator and coordinator of this idea is Anna Bedyńska, who serves as both juror, editor and designer of the publication.
