Predictions is a series of montages originally inspired by unusual motifs spotted in generally accessible space. Context was added to these motifs in a way that heightened the situational surrealism. The resulting images make no secret of the fact that they are montages, but their nature makes it impossible to determine clearly which fragments are pure manipulation and which are images of found reality.
This poses a difficult puzzle for the viewer to unravel and makes us reflect on our perception of reality. What was originally a form of play to create a visually appealing image turned out to be something more over time. The individual montages have taken on new meanings in the context of the recent dramatic changes affecting modern man. They even seem prophetic and, unfortunately, do not inspire optimism. Originally, all the paintings had their own titles, but in the exhibition they are presented without them, leaving the viewer with freedom of interpretation and room to discover his own prophecies.
Have you ever seen something unusual that you couldn't immediately understand or clearly explain? You don't know where it came from, you don't understand what it's for or why it's there. It's like a sign whose meaning you can't figure out. Soon you forget about it, but the image lingers somewhere deep in your subconscious. Time passes and finally something happens that brings back this forgotten sight and makes you recognize its hidden meaning. You have a feeling like déjà vu - suddenly it occurs to you that this buried in memory, seemingly meaningless image was like a foreshadowing of current events. It's hard to believe, and at the same time you can't simply dismiss it, putting it down to mere coincidence. You wonder how this is possible and find no logical or realistic explanation.
