Tomasz Tomaszewski (1953) - is a member of the Union of Polish Artists Photographers, the Visum Archiv agency in Hamburg, the National Geographic Creative agency in Washington and the American Society of Media Photographers. He is involved in press photography and publishes his photos in major Polish and many foreign magazines, such as: "National Geographic Magazine", "Stern", "Paris Match", "GEO", "New York Times", "Time", "Fortune", "Elle", "Vogue". He has a doctoral degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. His authored books include: Recent. Contemporary Polish Jews (text by Malgorzata Niezabitowska), Searching for America (text by Malgorzata Niezabitowska), Gypsies - other people like us, At the Center, Unusual Spain, A flip, An atmosphere of friendliness is provided, What lasts. He is the author of many solo exhibitions in the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Israel, Japan, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Germany, Indonesia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Madagascar and Poland. He has won Polish and international photography awards. For more than thirty years he has worked with National Geographic USA magazine, where he has published eighteen photographic essays, and has been the main consultant for its Polish edition since 1999.
