Description
Bogdan Konopka (1953-2019) - photographer, photography critic and lecturer, has lived in Paris since the 1980s. In 2000 he won the Grand Prix at the European Photography Competition in Vevey, Switzerland, his works have been exhibited and are in the collections of many French institutions, including the National Museum of Modern Art Pompidou Center, the National Library in Paris, the State Collection of Contemporary Art FNAC in Paris, the Carnavelet Museum in Paris and many others, such as the Art Museum in Lodz, the National Museum in Wroclaw. From the very beginning, i.e. since 2000, he has collaborated with the editors of "Fotografia Quarterly", writing articles about the work of many significant photographers and photographers from Europe and other continents, such as Africa. He also wrote an introduction to a book by Eva Rubinstein and Waldemar Sliwczynski. He was the first artist invited to the Wrzesin Collection. The book contains all the photographs that Konopka took for the Wrzesin Collection. An interesting fact is that the set also includes panoramic photographs taken with a pinhole camera, shown to the public for the first time. As we have sold all paper copies, only a PDF of this book is now available.
