The project was created as a reaction to the hostilities taking place in Ukraine.
We feel that a certain counterbalance to the dramatic events can become cultural development. Culture and art - this is our hope for the future. For Ukraine today it is important not only to oppose the aggressors, but also any action that counteracts the killing of culture in the country. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Polish people showed extraordinary humanity.
It was a spontaneous impulse of the heart to bring help to our neighbors. We are extremely grateful for this.
The idea of the presented project is a message from the Polish people to the Ukrainian people. The message contained in the paintings to give support to the people of Ukraine and strengthen their faith in a different, better future. Culture in wartime is a breath of fresh air, after all, without which it is impossible to breathe. It's a lifeline that we cling to because it gives us faith that life is still going on. It is a promise that it will go on, including in our homeland.
