Finissage of the doctoral exhibition: 13.07.2022 / 18.00 / SKiBA Performance Hall J. U. St. Niemcewicza 2, Wrocław
Doctoral dissertation The Limits of Time. Between photographic and filmic recording addresses the issue of the methodology of recording time, in the context of the way it is formally recorded in the photographic image and its impact on the final plastic work. To this end, the issue of the spatio-temporal capacity of the visual object is examined.
The result of this research and artistic activities is the author's method of construction of multi-layers multiplied image Located on the border of photographic and film recording, based on the author's concept of multiplied point.
It assumes information compression of data, successive temporal layering of an image in one place while changing the way it is observed and transforming it from moving to stationary. It is a compilation of various means and formal treatments that take visual forms with a record of spatio-temporal transmission. They are situated in a state of apparent suspension between photographic and filmic images, having characteristics typical of both media simultaneously.
Using the method in question, a multi-element multimedia object was created 365+one presented at the doctoral exhibition. It is the resultant record of time enclosed within a single calendar year compressed into a single location.

The result of his activities are polyptical objects often supplemented by moving time-lapse images. In his works he goes far beyond the boundaries of classically understood photography, which he treats instrumentally. He combines it with other media giving it multidimensionality in space and time. The author of such series as: Habitat, Grays, Objects, Borders. His works are in the collections of the National Museum in Wroclaw, the City of Wroclaw and private collections.
