Exhibition opening ahead Melting Pott. An exhibition of photographs by Till Brönner. The photographs on display are a selection of 57 works by Till Brönner taken during his year-long exploration of the Ruhr region. The artist captured the area's inhabitants, surroundings, industry and architecture. They show a vibrant area where, until recently, industry played a key role. Through Brönner's lens, we will look at the people of the Ruhr, the place where they live and the industry that is visible in the landscape and architecture. By analyzing the works, we will also discover people's strong identity with the place, their attachment to it. By creating a complete picture of the region, Till Brönner has created an opportunity to understand this relationship. The region, where industry generated the rhythm of daily life, seems to still be vibrant, perhaps no longer driven by industry, but by its diversity and multifaceted nature. In front of us is a whole range of frames capturing the color of this place.
The photographs in the exhibition are from the collection of the Brost Foundation.
