Join us for the next Meeting with photography. This time it will be a meeting with Mariusz Forecki, author of the award-winning book Dust. Evolution of an empire 1988-2022. It is a monumental photo essay about Russia, which the photographer has visited since the 1980s. He was also with his camera in the wars in Chechnya, Afghanistan, Crimea, Lithuania and other republics of the former Soviet Union. The caesura is Russia's invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Photos of refugees from Ukraine conclude this harrowing tale.

Mariusz Forecki (born 1962) documentary filmmaker and author of books. For many years he has been photographing human beings entangled in socio-political processes. Graduate and doctoral student of the Institute of Creative Photography at Silesian University in Opava, Czech Republic, co-founder of the PIX.HOUSE Foundation.
