Lech Lechowicz - historian and critic of photography, curator, lecturer, long-time curator at the Museum of Art in Lodz in the Department of Photography and Visual Techniques (1977-1996). Author of more than a hundred texts on photography, many of them of a pioneering nature. Currently a lecturer at the National Film, Television and Theater School in Lodz and at the Marian Schmidt School of Photography in Warsaw, he also previously taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz and in Poznan. Co-founder of the Polish Corporation of Photography (1995); Association of the History of Photography (1989/90), Scientific Society of Photography (2001). He co-founded and co-edited the magazine "OBSCURA" (1981-1989), which in the communist era uniquely addressed and critically discussed the issues of media in art.

The lecture is organized by the BWA together with the Jelenia Góra School of Photography.
