"The Lightness of Being" by Peter Lindbergh.
If he could, he would have taken pictures of the Dalai Lama, Picasso and Kennedy. He believed that laughter had no value in portraiture. He loved the sense of mystery and loved to photograph in black and white. He appreciated color in the work of Mario Sorrenti and Paola Roversi, although he thought it didn't penetrate the skin as much as black and white. No wonder. After all, he grew up with all those American reporters....
How to think about blue almonds?
When describing the pleasure of the images, I can only use words. This is my toolkit for this summer morning to express what is being experienced. I will use the images that appear as I write this text to build it. I will follow them, because I believe they have the most to say about the issues they themselves....
September - the month of photo festivals - a review of the biggest ones
The vacations are coming to an end, but the photographic life is only just gaining momentum. There are several big events coming up in September and October that you shouldn't miss. In the Events section and on our channels on FB and Instagram, we post information about upcoming festivals on a regular basis, but we thought it worthwhile to organize this information. Janusz Chlasta, At the harvest festival in Września,...
Promotion - KF 41 + KF 42 for only PLN 80!
Our magazine is sold only by mail order, so we know exactly who reads us. We also know that many of our readers have ordered "Quarterly Photography" for the first time, so we have created a promotional package primarily with them in mind. We don't hide the fact that we printed issue 41 a little too much and it's a shame for it to linger in storage. It would be better for it to enjoy...
Mark Pozniak photographing residents of Chernarus for 30 years
It was 1992, and Czarnkow, a small town in Greater Poland in the district of Trzcianec and Czarnkow on the Notec River, was celebrating its 800th anniversary. Marek Pozniak, a native of Czarnkow but no longer living there, throws out an idea: let's take 800 photographs of residents for the town's 800th anniversary. The mayor "buys" the idea and the young photographer sets to work. Thanks to the favor of the principal of Elementary School No. 1 and several female teachers,...

Jedrzej Paszak, a photographer, has died
On June 9 Jedrzej Paszak decided to pass away on his own terms. Jędrek's secular funeral (that's how his friends and acquaintances referred to him) took place on Wednesday, June 14 in Wągrowiec. Gathered at the grave were those closest to him from his childhood and Wągrowiec youth, friends from the photography collectives "Świetlica" and "Ciemnica", acquaintances, there were also people with whom he worked and collaborated....
Vanishing walls - limestone
Limestone as a building material has been used for centuries and in various regions of the country. For me, buildings and structures made of limestone look most beautiful in the area of the Krakow-Czestochowa Jurassic Highland, blending into the landscape of limestone rocks, immersed in Jurassic green, contrasting with the colors of autumn, wrapped in the white of winter. The architecture harmonizes with its surroundings and complements the natural landscape. Medieval fortresses,...
Silence of the hermitage according to Franciszek Kupczyk
The opening of Franciszek Kupczyk's exhibition took place on May 26 at the CKiS Wieża Ciśnień Gallery as part of the 3rd Konin Photography Festival FOCUS NAD WARTA. The photographs presented on that day are a continuation of the already twenty-year-long Kameduli project, initiated with the publication of an album entitled Kameduli in the Service of God and People and the 2003 exhibition Ora et Labora. The motivation for my photographs...
