BarTur Photo Award 2022

Beginning June 30, the Fort Photo Institute will host the BarTur Photo Award 2022 exhibition, featuring winning works by photographers from around the world who address important social, economic and environmental issues. The BarTur Photo Award, a nonprofit organization, rewards photographers for their unique work and seeks to strengthen the perspectives of women in the photography industry. Appreciating photographeróin, whichóers challenge how we view the world.

The main goal of the BarTur Photo Award has always been to show the immense power of photography to influence the way we understand and engage with the world around us.

Using photography as a means to express ideas and values, the BarTur Photo Award 2022 identified photographers who bring important issues to the forefront, cross borders and help bring communities together.

In this exhibition, BarTur Photo Award is pleased to present all 101 winners of the 2022 Photo Award, who took photos from all over the world, advocating a range of social, economic and environmental issues that affect so many people, animals, and our environment.

We are excited to present the inaugural Ann Lesley Bar-Tur Award 2022, which aims to honor a wide range of female photographers who create exceptional work, and to strengthen their perspective where sexism continues to impede equal access to this important industry and art form.

The BarTur Photo Award is a non-profit organization founded in 2011 by the Bar-Tur family in memory of their wife and mother Ann Lesley Bar-Tur, a talented British artist who died of breast cancer at the age of just 37.
