Jerzy Orawski, born 1970, an engineer-humanist.
His field of interest includes the theory and aesthetics of photography, as well as aspects related to perception and visibility within this medium of expression, including in the so-called "border areas", at the interface with film, literature or philosophy.
From time to time, he writes around-photographic texts. On the one hand, they accompany specific exhibitions, catalogs or albums, on the other - they wrestle with the problem of imaging of "mechanical" provenance, trying to delineate the possibilities and limits of the photographic medium in the multidimensional, complex reality that surrounds us.
