Description

In the latest issue, among other things, we take up the issue of threats to photography from artificial intelligence (AI). Andreas Muller-Pohle and Prof. Radoslaw Wróbel of the Wroclaw University of Technology write about it. You will also find quite a few photographs of women: the American Carrie Mae Weems has addressed the role of women in her art project, Agnieszka Stefanska similarly, and they are accompanied by the remarkable Kasia Krynska. Kinga Owczennikow framed different corners of the world, and Ola Mrówczynska, through her father, penetrated into a world previously unknown to her: a men's prayer group. Mariusz Forecki's School of Documentary presents the achievements of three of its listeners, who realize their "little stories" far from the front in Ukraine with the help of cameras. You'll also get a hefty dose of classic photography, both in form and content, thanks mainly to the master of contact photography Andrzej Jerzy Lech, as well as the master of color Vladimir Birgus, Bruno Barbey and the recently deceased Jerzy Olek. The historical part is complemented by photographs by Janusz Chlasta, whose work has been shown in 30 different exhibitions in several cities in Greater Poland, and an article on the Hungarian-international vernacular photography project Fortepan. An extremely interesting analysis of Polish photography festivals is given by Adam Mazur, and a conversation with Slawoj Dubiel, one of the heads of the Opole Photo Festival, is conducted by KF's editor-in-chief. Its curator writes about the Poznan Photo Award. Traditionally, there is also a Youth Portfolio and reviews of photography books
