Cult Photo Confrontations in Gorzow Wlkp. for the 42nd time.
Here are the rules and regulations and a sign-up sheet:
1 The competition exhibition "Confrontations 2024" will be exhibited as part of the event: "XLII Photographic Confrontations". Its purpose is to present the current state of Polish art photography.
(2) Please submit works in the form of author's sets of 3 to 5 photos each, in format from 24×30 cm to 70×100 cm. It is recommended to adapt the format of the sets to aluminum frames (100 x70cm). Subject matter is arbitrary. It is important that the set is not a collection of random photos of different subjects taken with different techniques. The set should be a unified composition on a selected theme. You should strive to maintain a single format of all photos in the set, unless the author's concept justifies a different treatment. The number of sets is arbitrary. Optical-chemical technique welcome.
3.The participation fee of PLN 50.00 per author should be sent to the account of the Gorzow Society:
No.: 51 8363 0004 0000 0101 2000 0001 at the Economic Cooperative Bank in Gorzow Wikp.
Please send a copy of the episode along with your work.
(4) Photos should be submitted unframed, in flat rigid packages (if they must be framed then passe-partout with a maximum thickness of 2.5 mm). Each photo should have the author's name and surname on the back, the number of the set broken by the consecutive number of the photo in the set - according to the entry sheet, the year the photo was taken and possibly the title.
5 Each kit must be accompanied by:
- accurately completed application form for participation in the competition
- plan for displaying the set and photos in electronic version(catalog,press,internet)
- author's return address.
(6) Sets that do not meet the conditions of items 2 and 3 will be returned to the authors without submission to the Jury.
7 The organizers will treat the works with the utmost care, but do not take responsibility for damage to the works during shipment or its loss.
8. awarded photos become the property of the organizers.
(9) The organizers reserve the right to free reproduction of works for advertising purposes in the press, TV and the event catalog.
10. the Organizers reserve the right to present the exhibition in other Galleries.
(11) The sets submitted by the deadline will be evaluated by a Jury consisting of members of the ZPAF, art critics and organizers in two stages:
- Qualifying sets for exhibition,
- qualify the sets selected for exhibition for the prizes and awards provided for by the regulations.
12. DIa authors of the best according to the Jury of the sets are provided for the following prizes and awards:
First prize - 5000,- PLN
Il prize - 4000,- PLN
Third prize - PLN 3000,-.
Distinction - 2000,- zloty
Diplomas from the ZPAF Art Council and prizes from sponsors. Prizes may be in-kind of the aforementioned value. The jury may exercise the right to divide the overall prize pool differently in a justified case.
13.Authors of works qualified for the exhibition will receive the event catalog.
14. the Authors of the awarded and distinguished sets will be automatically invited to participate in the XLII Photo Confrontations on May 10-11, 2024 with accommodation and meals provided at the expense of the organizers.
15. submission of works to the exhibition is tantamount to the recognition of the terms of these regulations and agrees to the publication of personal data in accordance with the Act of 28.08.97 on the protection of personal data (Journal of Laws No. 133 item 883).

16 Event schedule:
- submission of works until March 31, 2024
- Jury evaluation until April 15, 2024
- notification of the jury's verdict by April 30, 2024
- exhibition opening - may 10, 2024
- return of works by January 31, 2025
