Curatorial concept:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is often said in the public debate that the artistic medium is a kind of language, because, after all, an artist, in order to be called an artist, should express something through his field. Meanwhile, visual arts operate much more with connotations than the language we use every day. Moreover, they do not have a code that would allow two-way communication, even though, as Vilem Flusser wrote, \"images are surfaces of meaning.\" <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, language is not only a reflection of our customs, culture and behavior but is also a factor that actively influences these customs, culture and behavior. This feedback loop is also evident in the arts, as the understanding of phenomena, also shaped by language itself, is the basis of all creative activity. Just like Eskimo tribes having more terms for snow than European people, cultural, geographic and historical differences shape languages, and they shape different understandings of the world, even in their closest neighbors. After all, echoing Marshall McLuhanan, the medium itself is already the message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exhibition Non-transmission<\/em> is an invitation to experiment. Drawing on the thoughts of Roland Barthes, Marshall McLuhan, Vilem Flusser and Stefan Wojnecki, is it possible to create a work that conveys nothing, is not a message, and its meaning depends only on the interpretation of the viewer? And what will be the different interpretations of this idea by artists of different provenance?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
