First edition of the TIFF Photography Biennale in Wroclaw - open call for photographers is underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The first edition of the TIFF Photography Biennial is a continuation of the TIFF Festival, one of the largest Polish events dedicated to photography. Only until December 15 you can participate in the competition for the best artistic realizations. The winning works will be presented in the fall of 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TIFF Open features 3 exhibitions, 3 winners and prizewinners, 10 featured authors and authors, meetings and guided tours. The event precedes the first edition of the TIFF Biennale of Photography in Wroclaw, formerly known as TIFF Festival, which for more than 11 years has encouraged
viewers to take an interest in photography. The new formula will run from September 8 to October 8, 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The main motif of this year's competition is \"Gaze - Pleasure of the Image,\" understood as the issue of the structure of the image and the resulting pleasure - both in terms of content and the formula of their execution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"In a time of many crises, we decided to look for a soothing factor in photography - to give strength, to take a breath, to find a moment of peace in the hustle and bustle of events. We want to create a space for pleasure. We are looking for projects that will enable us, at least for a moment
To forget what is difficult.\" - says Oliwia Drozdowicz, Member of the TIFF Collective Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The open competition is an opportunity for both novice male and female artists, as well as those experienced and appreciated in the photographic community. The event is addressed to adult male and female artists operating in Poland and foreign countries.
A requirement for taking part in the call is to submit a project that relates to the keynote and has not been previously exhibited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Applications for the TIFF Open can be made in 2 categories: for projects exhibited in gallery space and in the urban space of Wroclaw. Authors and authors of the 3 winning series, in cooperation with curators, will create individual exhibitions during the
festival, and 10 male and female artists will present their work during a special multimedia presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Male and female artists have until December 15, 2022, 11:59 p.m. to submit work proposals. You must fill out the form available through the website https:\/\/tiff.wroc.pl\/pl<\/a> and send it with the necessary attachments. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The jury, consisting of: Ewa Budnik, Monika Muszy\u0144ska, Pawe\u0142 B\u0105kowski, will select works that will be
presented during the TIFF Biennial of Photography. The results will be announced by December 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
