Poznan Photo Award 2023 is launched<\/strong> - The first edition of the nationwide annual press and documentary photography contest. Adult photographers from all over the country are invited to participate. PNF 2023 consists of two competition categories: a Poznan-based and a nationwide one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.<\/strong> In the first one, the maximum will be evaluated 30-photo<\/strong> sets of event photos from Poznan and its agglomeration taken after 2005. The organizers are waiting for stories that are a photographic, synthesis of the modernity of the capital of Wielkopolska.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.<\/strong> In the second category - nationwide - will be evaluated at most 30-photo<\/strong> photo-essays, photo-reportages or photo-documentaries, which in the theme or attitude of the photographer will be \"tender narratives\"<\/strong> and which were created contemporaneously (after 2005) in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All works should be submitted from May 1 to September 4, 2023. Also in September, a professional jury, composed of prominent representatives of the photographic and artistic community: photographers, curators, visual artists - will select the best works. The chairman of the first edition will be a Poznan-born writer, reporter and photographer -. Filip Springer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners in both categories can expect financial prizes of 10,000 zlotys, as well as publication of their works in the form of a photobook. The winning and commended sets will be shown at the competition exhibition, which will open in March 2024, during the PNF 2023 final gala. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Poznan Photography Award has the ambition to become one of the most important photography competitions in Poland, as well as a new Poznan-based collection documenting everyday life, social and economic changes in Poland. It is a response to the development of reporter and documentary photography, the growing number of photographers who are socially sensitive, creatively describing our contemporary times with their photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PNF 2023 is organized by Posnania City Publishing House<\/strong>. Mayor of the City of Pozna\u0144 Jacek Jaskowiak<\/strong> has taken the initiative under its honorary patronage. The partners of PNF 2023 are Foundation for the Development of the City of Pozna\u0144, Raczynski Library<\/strong>, as well as Old Brewery<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
