Moj\u0105 fotograficzn\u0105 karier\u0119 zacz\u0105\u0142em 20 lat temu, g\u0142\u00f3wnie koncentruj\u0105c si\u0119 na fotografii czarno-bia\u0142ej. Podczas ostatniej dekady moje fotografowanie skoncentrowa\u0142em na opuszczonych farmach i innych porzuconych zniszczonych budynkach \u2013 tak na stronie internetowej pisze o sobie N\u00f6kkvi El\u00edasson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-drop-cap has-text-align-left\">I ma absolutn\u0105 racj\u0119 \u2013 jest amatorem fotografii, w tym drugim, lepszym znaczeniu (pierwsze to antonim zawodowca), w kt\u00f3rym amator to mi\u0142o\u015bnik, entuzjasta. Nic, tylko smutne, samotne i opuszczone pojedyncze budynki wtopione w bezlitosn\u0105 islandzk\u0105 przyrod\u0119 \u2013 o\u0142owiane niebo, nagie ska\u0142y i wysuszone liche trawy. To troch\u0119 jak zwiedzanie ksi\u0119\u017cyca\u2026 Patrz\u0105c na zdj\u0119cia El\u00edassona, zastanawiamy si\u0119, czy to mo\u017cliwe, \u017ce kiedy\u015b w tym miejscu \u017cyli ludzie?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Co prawda N\u00f6kkvi pos\u0142uguje si\u0119 kamer\u0105 analogow\u0105, jednak dokonuje pewnych ingerencji w \u201enaturalny\u201d proces rejestracji, mianowicie bardzo cz\u0119sto u\u017cywa g\u0119stego czerwonego filtra, dzi\u0119ki czemu uzyskuje niemal czarne niebo. Wpisuje si\u0119 w ten spos\u00f3b w tzw. estetyk\u0119 FIAP-owsk\u0105, pe\u0142n\u0105 \u2013 m\u00f3wi\u0105c \u017cargonem fotograf\u00f3w \u2013 \u201ep\u00f3\u0142ton\u00f3w FIAP-owskich\u201d, co ma wzm\u00f3c dramaturgi\u0119 przedstawie\u0144. Moim zdaniem zabieg ten jest zupe\u0142nie zb\u0119dny, poniewa\u017c sama rzeczywisto\u015b\u0107 uwieczniana przez niego jest wystarczaj\u0105co przejmuj\u0105ca i nie wymaga \u017cadnego upi\u0119kszania. Ra\u017c\u0105 mnie te\u017c wal\u0105ce si\u0119 piony na niekt\u00f3rych fotografiach, b\u0119d\u0105ce wynikiem nieumiej\u0119tnego stosowania obiektyw\u00f3w szerokok\u0105tnych. Wszystko to \u015bwiadczy o tym, \u017ce autor jest zawieszony mi\u0119dzy dwiema konwencjami \u2013 dokumentalizmem a estetyzmem (do\u015b\u0107 ja\u0142owym); nie wiadomo, czy bardziej chodzi mu o atrakcyjny wizualnie obraz, czy o przekaz.
